The light from the sun takes eight minutes to reach us. It is plausible that many stars that we see in the sky may have faded long ago.
Watching the genocide of Palestinians happening feels like this sometimes. We see the videos on social media by the evening, for the bombs that dropped in the morning.
Where are those people now? Are they alive? How are they surviving? What occupies their time? Does the global Muslim Ummah mean anything to them anymore?
Questions to which we may never find answers.
اَللّٰهُمَّ أنْجِ الْمُسْتَضْعَفِيْنَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Allāhumma anji-l-mustaḍʿafīna mina-l-mu’minīn.
O Allah! Save the weak among the believers. (Bukhari 3386)
